Maryland Department of Human Services Unveils New Logo

BALTIMORE, MD — The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) is excited to unveil a new logo effective July 1, 2024. This logo closely aligns with Maryland state branding across other state of Maryland agencies.

“The logo embodies our collective commitment to proudly serve all Marylanders. From Western Maryland to the Eastern Shore, wherever we serve, we are one team and one state committed to leaving no one behind,” said Maryland Department of Human Services Secretary Rafael López.

Building on a strong brand identity, DHS is also pleased to launch a new local logo that provides each department of social services a consistent and unified image. Here is an example of what the local logos look like:

“Our new logos capture our unified approach to serve the people of Maryland and will resonate with our customers, community partners, and legislators,” Secretary López said.

Over the next several months, DHS will be working diligently to update materials, signage, and resources across the state. To make this transition as seamless as possible, we ask that our sister state agencies, community and business partners:

  1. Familiarize yourself with our new logo use guidelines.
  2. Update our logo on websites you maintain, program outreach brochures you use, and other public-facing documents.
  3. Inform your staff, volunteers, and customers about the change to ensure they know it’s authentic and reflects our agency’s identity.
