Each year, Kent County Department of Social Services staff raise funds for a local organization through the Department’s “Community Relations Committee.” For 2017, the staff donated $403 to the Samaritan Group, Inc. The Samaritan Group, Inc. provides emergency shelter and services for Kent County, MD residents who find themselves in need and for whom no other source of assistance is readily available. They also serve as an advocate to help struggling residents gain self-sufficiency.
